It is a country where the sandy dunes in  Douz in the desert of the Sahara; the beautiful sun bleached around the houses of Jerba;  southernmost landscapes desiccated close to Tozeur, and the quiet beaches of the coast of Hammamet and Monastir. The capital of the country, Tunis, is a splendid urban centre however animated, where the walls of the medina are blocked by visitors and tradesmen.
